Christmas Rubbish & Recycling collection arrangements
With the festive season approaching, Cornwall Council wanted to give you an early heads up that recycling, rubbish, food waste and garden waste collections in Cornwall will be on different days over Christmas and New Year.
Collection of real Christmas trees will only be from people who subscribe to Cornwall Council's garden waste collection service. Households with a subscription should put their tree out beside their bin or bag on their garden waste collection day. If households don’t have a garden waste subscription, they shouldn’t put their tree out for collection because it will not be collected. Some local charities collect trees or you can take it to a Household Waste and Recycling Centre (HWRC).
Any rubbish/recycling collections that would normally take place between Christmas Day and January 3 will be either one day or two days later than normal, as follows:
Collections due:
Monday 23 December - no change to collection day
Tuesday 24 December - no change to collection day
