Devoran Park Slide Renovation project
As you know we were successful in securing £500 through the public vote from the West Briton and Police Community Cashback scheme to go towards a nest type swing for the park, a huge thank you to everyone who voted and to Devon & Cornwall Police.
We have now applied for £1000 funding from Aviva which again needs the public to vote for our project, as the 200 projects with the most votes in the £1000 category will secure the funding. This is national funding so it is really important that people vote to give us the best chance of securing the funding.
We have applied for the money to put new steps up one side of the slide in Devoran park (for the younger children) and also build in a purpose built, boulder type climbing feature on the other side of the slide, this will help shore up the bank which is being eroded but will also give an extra play element for older children. The photo below gives an idea of what we would like to achieve.
